Do accounting majors get a job after their bachelors and while pursuing the 150 credits for cpa?
mocchi asked:
My major is accounting and I want to go for the CPA and the extra 30 credits required to become a CPA. Can I easily find a part-time position while pursuing those extra 30 credits when I get my bachelors next year may?

Finding part-time work in an professional accounting profession is very difficult….especially if you want to work in public accounting in order to get your experience for the CPA license. Public accounting firms require employees to work up to 60+ hours a week and can even require travel. If you are part time only, then that is VERY difficult to work around and not worth hiring to most firms. Most people either get their 150 credits THEN start working professionally, or they go to school part-time and work full-time.
